If you read the history of Sam Walton in Arkansas, he low-balled his competition out of business and strong armed many suppliers to the brink of bankruptcy. As a small business wholesaler, I know how much pressure can be applied by the big boys. Walmart is not quite the panacea to all the ills that plague American retail business.
