...but the church does not make that distinction, the Pope has come out against abortion and war, in gods eyes there is no difference between killing with premeditation or killing in the name of ones country.

Not true, not true at all. The Church makes a clear distinction between both forms of killing. I think all religions throughout history also do.

That distinction is a result of our laws now, but the church does not make that distinction, the Pope has come out against abortion and war, in gods eyes there is no difference between killing with premeditation or killing in the name of ones country.

Murder is murder anyway you describe it, so the priority should be on which would save more lives.

I think by now I can predict your responses even better than you can HP. Just stopping by though to say I sorta agree with this Peggy Noonan lady. I've never understood how someone could be against eating an egg, but fine with having an abortion.

I love huevos rancheros.

i dont understand the people which believe in a almighty and how life is sacred and in turn support war

Let's assume for the moment that the unborn is a full human person. If that is the case, than abortion involves the worse kind of murder, not only is the person in question innocent, but a child, and to make matters worse, the child is being killed by the mother. So when it comes to matters of murder, and ranking them from the most gruesome and horrible kind to the least, abortion clearly ranks at the top. As Mother Theresa once said, "If abortion is not wrong, nothing is".

So it seems your priorities are off here ReneB, the better question is, why don't those who argue against the war to save human lives, first protest against abortions, not the other way around.

Peggy Noonan has good points, and i have one more to offer, i dont understand the people which believe in a almighty and how life is sacred and in turn support war. Terri Schiavo has lived in a sustained vegatative state for 15 years, Terri expressed her choice to her husband, her brother, and sister that she did not want to persist in the state she was currently in. i hope that Terri is at peace.
