Quote Of The Day

“The postwar world quickly became a Cold War world, as Communist conquests around the world replaced Nazi and Japanese conquests. Communists slaughtered even more millions of innocent civilians than died in Hitler’s Holocaust but they were never condemned as much by the intelligentsia”. –Thomas Sowell, Remembering his 75 years of life

I noticed this was filed under the category of “liberalism”. So I’m to understand that the perception that communism was as condemned as much as the fascists (which is disputable) is all the fault of the liberals? Of course, I also suppose if the vaunted “intelligentsia” had condemned Stalin as much as Hitler, the conservatives would rightly have been able to take credt.

Just another quick point — not everything, good or bad can be put in relation to liberals or conservatives. Some times, believe it or not, neither side had control and/or effect in the matter.

I agree, some things are not black and white.
