Quote Of The Day

“It is funny how McCain gets incredible press when he disagrees with the administration, but when Joe Lieberman disagrees with the leaders in the Democratic party, he is largely ignored. Can’t imagine why that could be”. –Lorie Byrd, writing on PoliPundit

The media does not have the resources to cover this story due to the extensive manpower necessitated to cover “The War on Christmas”.

McCain gets press because he’s been a high-profile candidate for president twice, is front-runner for the Republican nomination in 2008, he’s charismatic, telegenic and a bona fide war hero. And he’s criticizing the national leadership.

Lieberman is none of those things, and he’s criticizing a miniority party, too.

Is the War on Christmas getting much press? The only place I ever hear about it is on the Daily Show and Colbert Report, which are getting a lot of mileage out of making fun of Bill O’Reilly, who apparently thinks there is a War on Christmas and that it’s somehow important.
