What lazy thinking since the same can be said of big government conservatives (BGC).

BGC are excessively distrustful of markets and overly confident about the use of government power. The assumption is that government power will always be administered with prudence.
Anti-market bias leads people to concede government too much power, with BGC actively cheering government expansion.
Another bias is the view that other people cannot be trusted to make their own decisions. BGC cry about choice but enact laws which limit people’s difficult moral decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
