		<description>Foreign ownership of U. S. assets is bad.  Wealth created in the U. S. is shipped overseas due to foreign ownership of U. S. assets.

I prefer the U. S. to  own assets in other countries rather than vice versa.

Net International Investment position shows foreigners own much more of U. S. assets than vice versa.  Whenever they wish, these U. S. assets can be converted into dollars and used to buy anything that is for sale in the U. S.

Ability to buy is slightly less worse than debt.</description>
