“Bill Clinton is also a defender [of his wife’s continued support for the Iraq war]. At a meeting of a group of well-heeled liberal donors called the Democracy Alliance this month in Austin, he lost his temper when an audience member suggested that Hillary Clinton should follow the lead of 2004 Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards and renounce her 2002 vote authorizing military force in Iraq, audience members said. He glowered and lectured the donor that it was more important to look to the future than to debate the past in Iraq” — Washington Post news story on Hillary Clinton’s political values and policy goals

Not sure I understand the point. Do you think the Clintons are wrong in saying we should look past the initial decsion to go to war in Iraq, or that some Dems are wrong in saying that we should reexamine that matter?
It is a rare moment when I agree with Bill Clinton. Renouncing your previous vote is meaningless, self serving and does not help the current debate as to whether we get out today or stay until some measurable success is achieved - if it can be.
