I suppose the right thing to do would be to point out that Ann Coulter is wrong, that Hillary and Bill Clinton were married long before Bill Clinton had “money or power”, that Hillary Clinton was valedictorian of Wellsley College, that she was a graduate of Yale Law School, and that she was a very successful young lawyer before her marriage.
But to rebut Ann Coulter on the facts just seems like a waste of time. No one really believes that Ann Coulter deals in reality, do they?
Ann’s point was that Hillary got to where she is (being a formidable contender for the persidency) because of the presidency of her husband.
Do you honestly think that if she didn’t have her husbands fame to ride on that she would be as politically successful as she currently is? I don’t. Again, she may be qualified in her own right, but it is clear to me that her husbands presidency was a significant boost in who she is politically.

Personally, I think that Coulter is highly misunderstood due to her aggressive writing style. Some believe that only close-minded people like Coulter, but close-minded people are actually the ones that dislike her. It’s refreshing for a woman to speak her mind and not be afraid to stand by her convictions. People yell for an apology and she tells them she meant what she said. How many people do that? She has the right to her own opinion. But hey, what do I know, I’m just a close-minded white guy.

No one in their right mind would disagree with your point. As you say, it is obviousely the case that Hillary Clinton has benefited from being a former first lady. But I will respectfully continue to disagree with Ms. Coulter’s point. Which is not the same as yours, even if you choose to believe it is. It is simply not true that Hillary Clinton got where she is because she “marri[ed a] man with money and power”. Which is Coulter’s point. That is false. Hillary Clinton did not marry a man with money and power. That is a false.
By the way, how exactly did John Kerry make Coulter’s list? He’s not a woman, he was a US Senator long before marrying a wealthy spouse, and there’s no evidence that his marriage to Teresa Heinz Kerry has helped him in any way - in fact, the consensus opinion is most likely that she has hindered his political prospects.
Only in the strange world of Ann Coulter I guess.
Heinz helped him financially, especially during the primaries when it wasn’t certain that he would be the presidential candidate.

You don’t need to be a woman. You may even be a self-made man. But if your spouse should provide financial support at any juncture in your career, even in a cause in which your political career does not improve in any way, then you are guilty of being a “girl-power feminist who got where you are by marrying a man with money or power”.

Ann is primarily a satirest, so while she does generally stick to (one sided) facts, she occasionally inserts the humorous element. Kerry, not being a female, was the humorous part - though still partly true.
Oh well, she’s wrong about everything else, but at least she’s right about Arianna Huffington.
