    China’s gasoline supply is subsidized while most of the European countries tax their petrol.

    Yep - why do you think that is? Probably because China also happens to be an underdeveloped country in still, almost full poverty.

    Developing countries often do things that developed countries wouldn’t, like flirt with inflation, with hopes that it will help development.

    I’m probably the only person who is happy gas prices are rising. I guess it’s the hippie in me. Less people are driving and looking into other forms of transportation. ;P

    it sounds crazy but i agree with msondo…i couldn’t help but smile when I read that GM was looking at getting rid of hummer

    Do you mean a futures market? I think its great and helps add stability and predictability to gasoline prices.
